Success is sometimes only a matter of being in the right place at the right time and GRANT JACOBS was just that. He was born in San Francisco in 1948, which put him in the right place and at the right age when San Francisco and the Haight-Ashbury came into full bloom.
In 1966 he moved to the Haight, started hanging out at the Avalon Ballroom and took pictures. His photos have withstood time becoming windows to a wonderful era in our history.
